99 days

That's all we have to go :) That feels both like a LONG time.. but also like no time at all. I feel quite a bit better that we have some things ordered and that we're planning the other things. Today I booked us in for an intensive birthing class at Mercy, and our hypnobabies home-study course arrived. We'll see how they go before we decide whether we want to take a hhypnobirthing class with someone Deb recommended.

I am a hopeless procrastinator so I'm going to write a quick list of things that I want to do - or be more consistent in doing between now and THEN :)

1) Yoga... I feel so much better when I do it. Tonight was the first time I'd done some in weeks. I'm going to sign up for a prenatal yoga class at Maine Med.

2) Start working through the hypnobabies home-study course! I know that I could put this off until week 38, or something!

3) Paint the nursery.

4) Relaxation techniques: guided imagery, meditation, etc.

5) Spending time with friends...

There are many more, of course - mostly revolving around cleaning and painting and tidying and sorting.. and then there's the outside to contend with.

I have a feeling this next couple of months will go by quickly. Just three weeks of school left.

  1. Oh the last couple of months DO fly by. I got down to double figures and then suddenly Lily was here! Things will be much easier when you don't have to think about work as well!

    Take care of yourself,

  3. Hi Alex! It was lovely to see you yesterday. 99 days! What a magical number.

I am really glad you've got so many nice things on your list. I think the yoga and guided imagery and hypnobirthing will be key for you--

Because I am so inept at managing my own stress, I have this hokey motivational thing on my office bulletin board. It says:

"Serenity is not freedom from the storm but peace within the storm."

I think that's what you're needing--to find that peace despite all of the craziness and work demands swirling around you. So these things you're doing--even painting the nursery--will be wonderful ways for you to shut out all of the external stuff and focus on you and Poppet and what's going on inside.

Can't WAIT to see you Sunday. Still not sure what time!

    xoxo

  5. Hi all! I am so behind with blogging! It's been another very busy week culminating in a bizarre and eventful weekend. When will it end?! Soon, I hope :)

I'll have to write a quick update list as a new blog.

But thanks for your comments, everyone.

Oh, Jen, I am horrible managing my stress so I'm with you! I LOVE that quote, and anything hokey is quite attractive to me! So sorry to not see you today. I hope Sage is doing better and I look forward to those vegan treats!

Sarah! How wonderful for you to post. THANK YOU! i hope Lily is doing much better. It's a really nice thing to see old high school friends! I hope you and Andrew and the little one had a lovely Easter.

Oh, fi, thank you! I can't wait for you meet him, either :)

    Thanks, Tara!

    Love, A
