Where The Wild Things Are

We signed Raf up for his first acting class last week. The Children's Museum offers a few 2 hour drama workshops throughout the summer and we thought that Raf would like to give it a try, especially as he can be rather dramatic! We'd gone to the museum on Sunday, as it was pouring down,  and me and the children returned on Wednesday for the workshop. They slept en route, which worked out well, as it meant I could stay with the other two whilst Raf rehearsed and we'd be back to watch the performance a little while later. I won't go into great detail about the torrential rain, no parking, and the long, long trek hauling three children... !

We dropped Raf off at the drama room and Charlie and I had a fun time exploring the museum with his sister sleeping in the moby. Lunch was up first...

Hatts hanging in there.

I was amazed that Chaz didn't fall in.

We went to see some fossils and Charlie joined a random group who were learning about fossils and dinosaurs.

Here he is pretending to be a fossil.

And then listening intently with the big kids.

Without a big brother there Charlie was able to explore things that he usually ignores when on the heels of his brother.

And then it was time to watch his brother.

It was so sweet. And Raf had a fabulous time as the children put on their version of 'Where the Wild Things Are'.

Raf's starring role was a tree... which got bigger and bigger.

Bravo!
