We had a packed weekend with gym class, library trips, dinner at our good friends' house, a trip to see my friend and colleague's new baby girl, and just lots of running around. Charlie is almost 6 months old - and so is his friend Enzo, who is just 9 days younger than him. To celebrate we had a little party. It was a super fun evening and Raf got to play with this good friends' Rosa and Nico.
But in really big news... Rafi has pooped on the toilet twice this week. Frankly we thought we'd be cleaning up accidents forever because while he started potty training by pooping on the potty (and not peeing), we've sort of been pulling our hair out as he simply won't poop on the potty. During swim class on Wednesday evening he let me know he needed to go to the bathroom, and while it took us getting out of the water twice to try, he did it! Tonight, we were having a bath and he needed to go again... and he did! There's obviously some fear for him as he was getting a bit anxious about now knowing quite what to do, but he was very proud of himself for doing it, and so were we. Let's hope that this is the beginning of something wonderful!
As an aside, after swim class on Wednesday evening we went to Target to get him a long promised train for pooping, and of course he peed his pants en route. Baby steps.
