Acadia Adventures

The second half of our trip was a little less wet (marginally!) so we snuck in a proper breakfast outside before heading out for a bike ride on some of Acadia's carriage roads. 

When Hatts sees her helmet she gets so excited...!

All ready?! Rich 'forgot' the tool to attach Charlie's bike to his!

And off we go... this was meant to be easy but the trail was super steep in spots. 

Someone fell asleep!

After an exhausting bike ride for Hatts we headed back to HQ to use the pool.

It was freezing!!!!

And then the Walters joined us!

As soon as they were settled we headed for an evening hike up Bubble Rock.

Finishing up the day with s'mores.

The next day called for clouds...and of course it rained steadily. Still we made it to Thunder Hole and walked to Sand Beach.

Less fun in the rain walking back...

To warm up we headed into Bar Harbor for some hot drinks,

and tried our luck with some wishes.

We were meant to be staying until Sunday but the weather was predicted to be torrential so we packed up all our things - and somehow managed to get everything back in the car! It was tight. A super fun camping trip.
