Conference = Pool Time!

The first few days of our stay were in a rather uninspiring location on the outskirts of San Jose. The conference ran from Thursday to Sunday and it was in a nice hotel with fabulous pools for all of us to play in! Raf was in his element: so comfortable in the water. By the end of the first day all the children were loving it. We were hardly out of the pool.

The boys checking out the view from our room. It was a lovely view of the gardens - with lots of bird in sight - especially these noisy green parrots, which were super to watch.

Breakfast was also a fun time... well, for the kids. Eating out with children is rarely a fun time...  The fruit was amazing, though, and the children loved the pastries!

Ready for some pool time!

Charlie's confidence grew quickly.

And then it was time for me to go to the conference, so I left the children with Rich and wished him luck!

This is what I found on my return. Exhausted children. Well done, Rich.

And then some lunch... again, never as pleasant as it might be sans children!

We walked around the grounds whist we waited for the food to turn up. Beautiful.

 Waiting for the lift to take us swimming again.

This time all of us were there.

It totally wore out Hatts!

But then we were out for another round, and Brian was there to lend a hand with the boys, who had a super time jumping in again and again and again...

I did sneak away for a breakfast on my own. Bliss.

And came back to this... daddy-pile-on!

We all lay down for precisely 3 minutes before we were back in the pool.

Finally it was time to leave with some toucan souvenirs (Charlie went on to break his but thankfully we found a replacement in the next place we visited!)
